Community Events

Let’s RISE grew out of a belief that we all hunger for community, camaraderie and inspiration. The programs are developed by simply talking to folks in the community and realizing what is missing….asking people what could enrich their lives and then making it happen.

Let’s RISE is a way people may connect with each other in meaningful, relevant and valuable ways that make a positive difference for both the individuals who encounter our programs and the community at large.  All of our events are open to the general public and we request that you RSVP via our website if you plan to attend or enroll.  If you’d like to be on our mailing/invitation list, please click JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER

STEP Parenting Course (for parents of kids ages 11 – 17 ) – meets 6 – 8 times for 1.5 hours/session. STEP/Teen offers a down-to-earth and practical way to meet the challenges of raising teenagers today.  It’s a group discussion program that paves the way to improved parent-teen relationships; more responsible teenage behavior in home, school, and community; and teenage self-esteem and self-reliance.  Through real-life video segments, role plays, and supportive group discussions, the program teaches specific parenting skills and shows how they can be applied to the many challenges faced by teenagers today. ”
