Love what you wrote....But so, so sorry for the loss of your dog. I can relate to the feeling of loss: we just lost a little kitten that fought his way thru multiple infections, and then passed unexpectedly and now I'm doing the same: crying at the most unobvious moments!. I know that the grief associated with losing a pet can astound you, as it is felt everywhere. As mothers especially, we expect much of ourselves, especially not to falter when life presents a hurdle, a hurt, a disappointment. Is it b/c we forget that first and foremost, we are people with full hearts that can be bruised and tested? A grieving period forces you to pause and let yourself just be. It reminds us how lucky we were to have given and recv'd that unconditional love.

I'm really enjoying your blog. Love your openness and honesty. I have now been making more of a conscious attempt to tell others how I appreciate them. Thanks Sydney.
